SHOU SUGI BAN mirror

 Ever since "shou sugi ban" caught my eye, I've had a burning desire to make this mirror using this technique. Particularly, a mirror for the garden. All the materials are natural so I figure it will weather the four seasons well.

Originally, I thought I would need to have a mirror custom cut for this project but thanks to " YouTube " I learned how to both make the mirror and give it an antique look. Fortunately, I was able to use the glass from a vintage round frame. I'm so impressed with the finish look especially how you can see the waviness in the old glass.

 It's natural style looks great inside the home or outside in the garden and with most decors. In my opinion, it's versatility is what makes it extra special.
Finally, it's ready to go into the shop!
